What Makes Attorney David Hunt Uniquely Qualified To Represent You?
After working as a clerk at the San Diego District Attorney’s office, David took a job as an associate at a Salt Lake based boutique litigation firm in 1998. In 1999, David commenced representing several equity venture funds where his first assignment was drafting a private stock purchase agreement. Since that time, he has been involved with hundreds of private offerings for enterprises ranging from start-ups to exchange traded companies. David has also been involved with a number of public offerings, including recently serving as an attorney of record for an underwritten NASDAQ IPO.
Despite his transactions focus, David has continued to selectively litigate contract and securities related cases throughout his career. He has worked on cases and represented parties in matters across the United States, including those before the Delaware Court of Chancery, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, and a number of state and Federal courts throughout the U.S.
David has been a regular participant in the Securities and Exchange Commission’s annual Government-Business Forum on Small Business Capital Formation in Washington, D.C. for most of his career. David is a National Association of Corporate Directors governance fellow and is involved in a number of charitable and non-profit organizations, including serving as the Chair of the Governing Board of Channing Hall School since 2018. David is a California native and holds a JD from California Western School of Law in San Diego. David attended Brigham Young University for two years before transferring to the University of Utah where he earned his bachelor’s degree.
David is a former university lacrosse player and head coach and continues to play competitive lacrosse. He is also a lifetime skier. David is married to Dr. Melany Moras. They have two young children.
